Ambidextrous safety selectors make manipulating your rifle fast and easy in nearly any position. Being able to change your rifle's condition from 'safe' to 'fire' with your thumb and from 'fire' to 'safe' with your index finger is faster and more convenient. Being able to make that change with just 45-degrees of motion is one of the best upgrades available for your carbine.
